Hi, I'm Alexa - a cinematic photographer based in Portland, Oregon. My love for photography began when I was a kid with a tiny pink camera in hand (see the photo on this page). Over the years, that spark came and went in phases, but everything changed on my wedding day.

I got married on a beach in Hawaii in 2023. At first, I almost skipped hiring a photographer (a terrible idea in hindsight!), but my husband convinced me otherwise. I was nervous as we had never taken professional photos together, and I didn’t know what to expect. What I found was an experience that felt grounding, joyful, and unexpectedly meaningful. After returning from my honeymoon, I bought a camera of my own and started my photography business.

Since then, I’ve come to deeply value authenticity and believe in capturing the real moments that make up the human experience. My goal is to document your life as it naturally unfolds - in motion and true to you.

My approach is relaxed, intentional, and rooted in storytelling. I want you to feel fully present, not posed or pressured. I’ll gently guide you with prompts when needed so nothing feels awkward, but I also know when to step back and let genuine moments unfold. Expect movement, connection, and naturally composed portraits that reflect not just how your day looked, but how it truly felt.
